Occupy Wall Street

Let me start this post with a disclaimer: Whether you agree with their message(s) or not, that’s not the point of this post. I’m not looking to get in a political argument. Moving on…
I’m late with getting around to posting this but I’ve been busy so…I passed by Zuccotti Park a few weeks back on my way to meet friends at the 9/11 memorial (post to come!) and I happened to have my camera on me.
It’s quite an organized system they’ve got going down there. The park is only about the size of a city block and it’s sort of neatly organized like a town square. You’ve got your kitchen, library, media HQ, medical, etc. If you’re not aware, bullhorns and other amplifying devices are prohibited. So in order to make a speech or spread news to the masses, protesters use a system of hand signals and the crowd repeats a speakers comments in something like a mass game of telephone.
The city recently cut off power in an attempt to force them out but occupiers kickstarted plan B. Pedal power! You can read more about that nifty little invention here. And if you know me, you know I love me a bicycle!
